Painting

I am far from imposing an interpretation on the reception of a work. I believe that it is a huge mistake to assume ‘what the author had in mind…’. A work of art becomes a work of art when it exists as such in the mind of the viewer. When it is born anew within the viewer. A completely individual bond is created between the work and the viewer. The image does not have to be for the author what it becomes for the observer. It is up to you to decide what the work of art will be, what story it will tell and where it will take you. The author is merely the one who opens the door or turns the lock. A kind of key, guarding worlds and stories that he himself might not have seen. You open and enter – I invite you to do so:)
